“I want to become a health and fitness expert. I want to motivate others and find ways to truly make a difference.”
Helping others is a theme we hear over and over at NASM. It’s also a driving force for many individuals deciding to become a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). They recognize the career perks like a flexible schedule and being their own boss, but also see a big-picture opportunity to change lives.
Thousands of trainers are doing this daily: curbing the obesity epidemic by working with clients to teach, motivate and hold them accountable. Many CPTs have taken their careers a step further and become well-known fitness authorities, demonstrating a proficiency in one or multiple core areas.
This year, eight NASM trainers who have reached Master Instructor status accomplished what is sure to be a career highlight: They were featured in the acclaimed Men’s Health’s“PUSH, PULL, SWING: The Fat-Torching, Muscle-Building, Kettlebell and Sandbag Program.” The guide showcases strength-training workouts with 150 movements and exercises from top trainers across the nation. Each of the eight NASM Master Instructors provided challenging workout programs based on what they’ve seen to be successful for clients, backed by the knowledge they’ve gained from NASM.
What’s impressive about these NASM trainers is they began their careers the same way hundreds of new CPTs do each year. They show the unlimited potential of how far an NASM certification can take you. And, most importantly, they are making a big impact on others.
Congratulations to the eight NASM Master Instructors featured in this book, and I hope they trigger a new reason for you to excel in this career.
