Master the Squat. Master Human Movement. The squat is one of the most powerful windows into human movement. Beyond building strength, it reveals mobility restrictions, stability deficits, and compensations that affect performance and injury risk.
The squat is one of the most fundamental and functional human movements. In fitness and corrective exercise, it serves not only as a performance tool but as a diagnostic window into the body’s movement efficiency. This course teaches coaches how to analyze, cue, and correct squat movement patterns to improve client performance, reduce injury risk, and penhance movement quality.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Explain the biomechanics of the squat and its role in movement assessment.
- Identify common compensations and postural syndromes observed during squatting.
- Apply corrective and coaching strategies to improve squat performance.
- Use the Overhead Squat Assessment (OHSA) to evaluate client movement patterns.
