Foot, Ankle and Knee (Release #2)

When it comes to building a foundation for better movement, it helps to focus from the ground up, literally. In the second piece of the Sustaining Mobility and Movement Series, you’ll get an in-depth understanding of the functional anatomy of the foot, ankle and knee and how to correct the imbalances you see in group fitness settings.

Sedentary lifestyles and repetitive movements often lead to issues with static and dynamic posture, as well as injuries and movement deficiencies, all of which can affect your participants’ ability to engage fully in your class without pain or discomfort.

You’ll learn how to evaluate and organically apply select corrective practices normally given in a one-to-one setting into a group environment, incorporating specific exercises, stretches and warm ups based on movement issues you identify among attendees.

As participant feel a difference in movement and mobility through these exercises, problems like plantar fasciitis, shin splints, sprains and runner’s knee may improve over time – keeping them coming back to you again and again to continue to see improvement and live a healthy lifestyle. This is the second release from a four-part series. For optimal effectiveness, this course is best when taken after Human Movement Science.
